During the Annual Meeting held October 1, 2011, the Members resolved, “to investigate alternatives for improvements to the unpaved section of Timber Ridge Road within reasonable expenditure, and take action accordingly.” This report outlines the primary issues and alternative courses of action for further consideration by the Trustees.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Fisheries Division is now soliciting comments concerning the plan to study the sustainability of commercial paddlefish roe fisheries on waters not currently open to commercial fishing in the state.

| Wood for Wags |

On Saturday, December 17, about a dozen volunteers from Norris Shores cut and split fire wood for the Union County Humane Society. The Humane Society heats its facility with a wood-fired boiler and needs wood for this winter. The crew delivered about five loads of wood to the shelter. Additional wood cutting events will be scheduled.
If you have a hard wood tree that is down on your property that you would donate, please let Pat Hurley know, even if you aren't able to help with the cutting. You are encouraged to provide wood to the Humane Society on your own. They have a splitter and will accept unsplit "rounds." Please provide only hard wood as it burns cleaner.
